SUMMARY:The National Competition for the Development of Mobile Phone Applications for People with Special Needs
DESCRIPTION:The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications organize of the second edition of the National Competition for the Development of Mobile Phone Software and Applications for Persons with Special Needs under the title “Development of Mobile Phone Software and Applications for Dealing in Sign Language for People with Hearing Disabilities”.\nThe competition is open to all innovators and developers, represented by small and medium companies, start-ups, associations and individuals, until Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 16:30 a.m.\nThe aim of this edition is to contribute to facilitating the teaching and learning of sign language, strengthening the linguistic identity of the deaf, and raising awareness of the importance of this language for the group of people with hearing disabilities, as well as strengthening their integration into the information society.\nAs well as supporting innovations in the field of information and communication technologies, while encouraging project holders in the field of sign language software as a communication tool and means of communication for persons with hearing disabilities.\nCompetition axes:\n Applications for translation and simultaneous interpretation of sign language, converting it into text, and converting text into a sign language that is understood by people with hearing disabilities.\n Converting sign language into spoken voice and spoken voice into sign language.\n Various educational applications that contribute to teaching sign language.\nThe best project is selected by a specialized committee that evaluates the submitted projects to come up with effective practical solutions capable of meeting the requirements of people with special needs.\nAnnouncing the results of the competition will be on May 17, 2022, coinciding with the celebrations of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day\nParticipation in the competition, as well as project evaluation, is carried out in accordance with the competition law available on the official website of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications: www.mpt.gov.dz.\nThe Ministry of Post and Telecommunications allows candidates to inquire and request clarifications through the e-mail address of the competition: moussabaqua@mpt.gov.dz, or by calling directly on the phone number: 213(0) 21748059.\n
